Hatcheries

Abbotsford Hatchery

Abbotsford Hatchery, previously known as Centennial Hatchery, was built in the late 1970s for Scotts Poultry.

In 1986, Lilydale purchased Scotts Poultry and Centennial Hatchery. Since that purchase, the Abbotsford hatchery has experienced many changes. In 1987, the hatchery was expanded to accommodate the hatching of turkeys and broiler chicks. In 1997, the original hatchery was remodeled to accommodate the addition of new equipment. Presently, Abbotsford Hatchery has endeavored to stay at the leading edge of technology to ensure top quality poults, broiler breeders and broiler chicks to some of the best growing facilities in the country. In turn, the hatchery is able to provide Lilydale’s processing plants with top quality products for our consumers.
