Thai Turkey Skewers
This lower fat favourite is great if you are looking for fast preparation time or a fast-cooking BBQ idea. The marinade can be made in advance and stored in the fridge.
1 lb (500 g)
3 tbsp (45 mL)fresh coriander
2 tbsp (30 mL)sherry
1 tbsp (15 mL)rice vinegar
1 tbsp (15 mL)hoisin sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL)sesame oil
1 tbsp (15 mL)honey
1 tbsp (15 mL)soy sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL)grated ginger root
1clove garlic, minced
Pinchred pepper flakes
- Slice Lilydale® Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breast into long, thin strips. Set aside.
- In bowl, combine coriander, sherry, vinegar, Hoisin sauce, sesame oil, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes. Add Lilydale® Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breast strips and stir to coat. Marinate in refrigerator for atleat 2 hours or overnight.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes to prevent them from burning. Thread marinated Lilydale® Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breast strips, accordion-style onto skewers.
- Broil on broiler pan or cook on the barbecue for 5 to 7 minutes or until browned.
