Turkeys in a Blanket
2 tbsp (30 mL)Dijon mustard
8pieces Gouda cheese
1 pkg (8 oz/250 g)refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 tsp (5 mL)finely chopped fresh rosemary
1/2 cup (125 mL)cranberry sauce
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Separate dough into 8 triangles; Brush mustard evenly along centre of each triangle.
- Place piece of cheese in centre of the Lilydale® Honey Flavoured Turkey Breast Roast slice; fold up bottom and top with Lilydale® Honey Flavoured Turkey Breast Roast slice over cheese, then fold in sides. Lay rolled the turkey and cheese on base of dough triangle; roll up starting from base. Repeat with remaining turkey, cheese and dough.
- Place 2 inches (5 cm) apart on parchment paper–lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with rosemary. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Serve with cranberry sauce.
Substitute puff pastry for crescent roll dough if desired.
You can substitute Cheddar, Brie or Fontina cheese for Gouda cheese.
