Thai Turkey Skewers

This lower fat favourite is great if you are looking for fast preparation time or a fast-cooking BBQ idea. The marinade can be made in advance and stored in the fridge.

  • 1 lb (500 g)
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL)
    fresh coriander
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL)
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL)
    rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL)
    hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL)
    sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL)
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL)
    soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL)
    grated ginger root
  • 1
    clove garlic, minced
  • Pinch
    red pepper flakes
  1. Slice Lilydale® Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breast into long, thin strips. Set aside.
  2. In bowl, combine coriander, sherry, vinegar, Hoisin sauce, sesame oil, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes. Add Lilydale® Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breast strips and stir to coat. Marinate in refrigerator for atleat 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes to prevent them from burning. Thread marinated Lilydale® Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breast strips, accordion-style onto skewers.
  4. Broil on broiler pan or cook on the barbecue for 5 to 7 minutes or until browned.
